I'm Krista, and this is my thing.

I'm a long-time dancer in the ecstatic, freeform, conscious dance spaces in the city. My love of it eventually led me to start DJing in 2019.This kind of dance practice has absolutely changed my life for the way better. If you haven't tried it, you really ought to.

WHAT TO EXPECT🪩 Doors open at 7:00 PM. There will be a 30 minute warm up. At 7:30 PM we gather for a short, guided, THANKS FOR THE DANCE practice. And then we blast off on a music & movement journey that'll take us to 9 PM. It'll start slow, build to a peak, and come back down.🪩 You don't need to have any previous dance experience. Just bring your love of music and your desire for invigoration, and see what happens. Boisterous wild ones and gentle boppers are equally loved and celebrated.🪩 This is a dance party and an embodiment practice. So, you might feel playful, joyous and extroverted, and/or, you might feel introverted and insular as you engage with something within yourself. Extroversion, introversion, a combo of both -- are all welcome.

RULES🪩 Consent and respect if/when dancing with others -- obviously!🪩 No phones or full-on conversations on the dance floor. We want you dropped in, present, with yourself.

OTHER THINGS🪩 This event is open to all respectful and self-responsible adults.🪩 I've noticed there are certain dance events where people come and go whenever, and there are others where people commit to the full length of the practice. I deeply prefer the latter, as it creates a container that supports more magic, connection, and transformation. So, that said, committing to the full two hours is gently encouraged -- you beautiful, sovereign adult who can do as you please. ;)🪩 Dress to sweat. Wear comfortable clothes that you'd wear to a yoga or workout class. Dance barefoot or in socks.🪩 Bring water.🪩 I may take a few photos and videos.🪩 There are no refunds.
